I'm loving the coloring, that shade of green is one of my favorites after my usual maroon. The banner fits so well too.
Got inspiration today on my way to work, I may just write it. It would involve the Jess spin-off, and Paris attending UCLA next fall after deciding she really needed a break academically and a fresh start in California. I've already checked the map, and having Jess in the location he's at (left out on purpose because it would be a spoiler), and Paris in Westwood seems to make for a very believable scenario. I just need to figure out supporting cast, plotting to get the two together slowly and how I'm going to make Jess seem believable visiting Paris in her dorm room everyday.
Should I write it? Ideas to help me out?
Nate babbled @ 11:17 PM
I think it's pretty. It's seafoamy. heh. Weird thing was, I was looking at making a blanket and I was thinking of using that color and white or cream.
Ashley babbled @ 8:40 PM
I usually don't like green (years of wearing a green uniform does that to you) but this one is pretty. It's very... calming.
Love the pretty new look for the site. Yay for Jess! :)
Eh. I'm bored. Sigh.
Anonymous babbled @ 12:57 PM
I like the background too. It is springy without being too cutesy.
Yep. That was it Grace. Thanks for the link. Awesome fic, Trixie. So very funny.
Anonymous babbled @ 12:09 PM
Well, Happy 25th Birthday to Jensen before I even begin....
Now, I just updated the archive template to reflect the background changes in the regular template.
I want to add I read that fic that Roxy reccomended earlier, and it was wonderful.
Ashley babbled @ 9:40 AM
Eeep! Laine read "The Mod Couple". That was fun to write, but being in Marshall's head causes blackouts. Heh. If I do continue it'll have to be a Sark POV...
And DoubleEeep! Gracie linked it. Stop that. ;)

So far the site buying thingy is a unanimous yes as long as Jamie's dad doesn't trip us up. But Kay, Miya, Priya, Jess, and emrie haven't answered yet.
Ashley babbled @ 4:10 PM
I changed the blog background color to match the site. I hope no one minds. :)
And I'm glad you like the color, Roxy.
Anonymous babbled @ 2:28 PM
Laine, I'm guessing you're referring to The Mod Couple, which was written by our very own Trixie (who needs to update it!). Such a fun little Marshall/Sark fic.
I spent about three hours working on the site last night. I got most of the pages recoded with the new layout, and I uploaded the ones that I finished, except for the main page, because I still want the "Gone, but not forgotten" message visible to the general public. I'm planning on uploading more stories tonight...I ran out of time doing the ones I had, because Without a Trace was on. If you are interested in seeing what the new layout looks like, here. Keep in mind that not all the links work yet.
I want Sark and Will on our staff too. :) (Along with Weiss, Marshall, and Jack.)
Anonymous babbled @ 8:59 AM

Woo hoo for the site being functional!
Jack should totally join. Spy Daddy Rocks. I think Weiss should come on board, too. Possibly Marshall. Heh. I was reading this fic where Marshall and Sark became roomates awhile ago. I wish I could remember what it was called.
Actually, you know what my biggest thought is post TLR? Chad needs to go back to GG. Or at the very least a show that doesn't suck.
Anonymous babbled @ 11:09 PM
Dang skippy we've got a cooler staff. The CIA has people like Vaughn and Syd and ... well, that's enough to make me glad to be on the other team. Maybe we can persuade Jack to join us?
Anonymous babbled @ 10:27 PM
Yeah! Does the CIA have a blog? I think not!
and you're welcome Grace.
I also liked this kicky thingy they did that was all sideways backwards weird. Okay... wait... I liked pretty much all the hand to hand kicky punchy stuff. I wish I could do that.
Ashley babbled @ 7:12 PM
I'm going to try reallyreallyreally hard to get a lot of stuff uploaded tonight. We still don't have all the fics that we lost reformatted, but Ash has made a significant dent in them (thanks, hon!), and I'd rather not wait any longer. I'm still pondering what I want to use for the background color. I'd like something spring-y, but not too Easter Bunny, you know? The actually uploading of the files via FTP shouldn't take too long, but I don't want to do that until I have the new layout properly coded. As I mentioned to Ash yesterday, there will be a link to this blog in the header graphic. I had Jess label it "The Chat Club." I realize now that it should be "Le Chat Club," but c'est la vie.
And we are way cooler than the CIA. Heh.
Anonymous babbled @ 5:08 PM
The money thing will work itself out somehow, I hope. If it comes down to it, I can just send cash over. So, you can put me on the 'Yes' list for the domain.
"Super secret side project". Heh. We're like the CIA or something.
I'm majorly amused by all the Lone Ranger talk. Maybe one of these days I shall endeavour to download it and amuse myself.
Anonymous babbled @ 1:18 PM
Wow lots to say. Hehe
Jamie - Tell him that your obsession with the computer could actually end up paying off because of the fact that computers are very big now-a-days and are taking over the industries and the more you know the more likely you are to get a high paying job. That's my plan if Directing doesn't work out, I'll fall back on graphics and webdesign.
Grace/Liza - Could you guys look into the debit thing? Ask your banks or whatever and see if that's at all possible? I think it should be, but I'm not really great with international banking and such.
Laine - I liked the horse too. I was, however, more impressed with his ability to walk through all that smoke. I'm currently listening to the song they used in the scene when they attacked the camp with the mini bombs. I recognized it last night and was like "Where have I heard that song?" and then I realized it was The Cult's "Rise" which is on the Nascar Full Throttle CD I believe.
Ashley babbled @ 10:52 AM
Oh! I'm such an airhead. That's the super secret side project. I just figured it wasn't a secret.
Heh. Alley just didn't seem very old west to me. A day after seeing TLR the only thing I was impressed with was the horse. It was very pretty.
Anonymous babbled @ 10:38 AM
Oh, sure, Ash, make me answer the hard questions. :)
Liza, I'm sure there are ways we could work this all out, but I honestly don't know what they are. Anyone else have any insight on the matter?
Laine, hon, you should know about the "super secret side project". It's something the staff has discussed extensively via e-mail. It's just not something non-staff members know about yet.
Anonymous babbled @ 10:25 AM
Liza- I'll let Grace field that dilema
Jamie- Go back in the archives to the 25th, first post I think. Also Jamie, I think you aren't publishing yours. After you write the message do you just push "Post" or "Post & Publish"? Because you should push "Post & Publish." Or if you mistakingly hit just post there should be a publish button to the right in that little black area.
Ashley babbled @ 8:58 AM
Okay, I'm chiming in. Heh.
I think the domain thing would be cool, but like Laine and Jess, the money issue is a little difficult since I live half-way around the globe from y'all. So... yeah. But I have a debit card so if I can transfer funds to Grace through that somehow, that'd be more convenient than me running out and getting currency exchange. Eh, I dunno.
So, yes. Cool idea, but the money thing needs to be worked out. :)
Anonymous babbled @ 5:40 AM
Wednesday, February 26, 2003
Jess- It should be fairly easy to get American money, all banks will do currency exchange.
Ashley babbled @ 11:11 PM
I'm not sure about the domain thing, only because I'm not sure if I can get American money, because I live in Canada. So...it would be fantastical if we could get the domain, but I'm not so sure about the paying thing. Darn currency issues.
Anonymous babbled @ 10:47 PM
I've kind of liked this season too. I also had no issues with last nights ep, Roxy.
Anyways so far the Yes' are winning, but Kay, Miya, Priya, Jess, Liza, Nate, Jamie, and Emrie have yet to respond.
Ashley babbled @ 9:44 PM
I like this season. But it could be because I've taken up watching DC again, therefore my stardards are lowered. Actually I didn't like the beginning, but I've enjoyed it since R/J hooked up and Dave/Lane hooked up.
Shutting up now, and going to return to writing WSC.
ETA: Laine, they'd be called alleys back then too.
Anonymous babbled @ 9:39 PM
I'm down with the domain thing. Actually, the parental units are going to Minneapolis in a couple of weeks for a work thing so I could always just get them to bring me back some American cash. Heh. I really don't like American money though. I always have to double check the bill I'm using since it's all the same color. And there's no loonies! Or toonies, for that matter.
Anyone watching The Lone Ranger? The modern music is sort of bugging me. In the first bit in the alley (or whatever is would be called then) I was like "Tristan! Kick their asses!" Heh. He'll always be Tristan to me.
Anonymous babbled @ 8:49 PM
Laine or Kay or Jamie care to weigh in on the server thing? Actually, Laine is probably waiting for to find out about the money.
Ashley babbled @ 8:15 PM
Who isn't into the Sarkness? No one I know (who watches Alias at least). Heh. I love me some British accents. Sigh.
Anonymous babbled @ 7:01 PM
You know it's funny, Rox because I've been disappointed by this whole season, and really found myself enjoying last night's episode (I think it was the lack of Jess, and the appearances of Postman!Kirk, CuteDean, Lane and Paris). I thought it was my favorite of the season until I remembered "They Shoot Gilmores, Don't They?". Anyway, I've been thinking about it and I still love the episode, even though I'm not thrilled with the Paris situation.
I guess the fact that I loved this episode and still find some big faults with it actually sums up my attitude toward the show as a whole this year. I still love the show, but I'm not so head-over-heels that I can't see its faults, like I was in earlier seasons. Does that make sense?
eta: Ooooh! Laine! I love "Vast" and "Sakura" - especially "Sakura"! Rach is just awesome. I didn't know you were into the Sarkness. Hee. You'll have to join our Sark blog...
Anonymous babbled @ 5:36 PM
Blog. It's nothing fancy, just a basic template and I'm playing with side menus. But I can post stuff and it doesn't say "Page Not Found." Which is a step up in my book.
Aw. No fair alluding to a super secret side project! It's like when I was little and my grandparents would speak Flemish when they didn't want me to understand what they were talking about.
Anonymous babbled @ 5:36 PM
Giggle. I love this blog. It's fun.
Anonymous babbled @ 4:19 PM
Yes, I am eager. Uber-eager to be exact.
I just finished writing some of my improv (Which isn't done yet but I can really only take so much.) and it's going to be good, it's writing itself hehe.
Also, I didn't know CSI was a repeat. That will suck
Laine, what's the link? I want to see. Also I can't wait to hear what you find out from the bank, I hope really was helpful.
Sidebar: I'm about to try something, so if the page looks funny, it's just me.
Okay I'm done, I noticed that the archive page still had the original template (Which was yellow and red) so I went and changed it.
Ashley babbled @ 3:31 PM
I'm also down with the domain purchase.
Anonymous babbled @ 2:07 PM
I am officially voting YES for getting our own domain.
I won't be home much tonight (I have a standing engagement every Wednesday), so I doubt I'll make any progress on the site. However, I think everything except Without a Trace is in reruns tomorrow night, so I'll try to get things rolling then. I did some work last night, as far as creating an image map for the new graphic that Jess so kindly created. The basic layout and feel of the site with remain the same, I'm just going to give it a bit of a spring facelift.
Ashley has been diligently reformatting the stories that we lost, which is a huge help. I can't thank her enough. There shouldn't be too much lag time as far as getting the site back to the status quo.
Speaking of Ash, I know she is eager to get that side-project-that-we-have-discussed-via-e-mail-at-length-but-haven't-disclosed-to-the-general-public-yet-which-is-why-I'm-referring-to-it-in-oblique-terms going. Having the site back up should help tremedously with that.
Anonymous babbled @ 1:43 PM
Oooh. Good suggestion Ash. I'll look in to that next time I go to the bank.
Also, I got my blog mostly working. I'm quite proud.
As far as last nights ep goes, I guess I'm sort of torn. I loved the mother-daughter interaction. ("I got the good kid" Aw!) It was very season oneish which made me happy. I loved the Sookie bits. And I loved mailman Kirk.
But I didn't like what they did to Paris and I haven't for awhile. In my mind Paris would never slack off at school just because of a boyfriend. And she would never show up at something as important as the Chilton BiCentennial and flip out like that. She would have done her speech then flipped out. Also, Rory getting into Harvard and Paris not? Such crap. Paris is a legacy, for one. Second, she's been doing mountains of extra-curricular stuff since Kindergarten and Rory only started in junior year. Third, I'm sure her grades, on the whole, are just as good, if not better than Rory's (Rory struggled in Sophmore year, getting a "D," not being able to take that test and that was in English, probably her best subject, so I bet she had difficulties in other classes as well). But it's television so I guess name in show title = free pass into college of your choice.
Also, how stupid id the WB promo department. All the "Jess, the devirginizer" fuss and he wasn't even in the episode!
Anonymous babbled @ 1:31 PM
I thought Paris was fab (the breakdown was so fabulously funny hehe only at the same time it wasn't.) and personally I'm glad she didn't get in. I think she would have had a really hard time at Harvard. I'm not speaking from personal experiance, but when you watch all your friends go off to College and the really smart/hard working ones crash and burn you tend to see things in a completely new light. My hopes for her is that she either takes the year off, or goes to Yale or Princton and reapplies to Harvard next year and gets in. That way she'll still be a Harvard gradtuate but her stress will hopefully be less.
As for the hosting and stuff. I agree with Trix about waiting. That way less of a chance for problems, plus like she said, time for us to pay Gracie. Granted this is if we all agree. So I'm going to start a tally. If everyone could please post and tell yes or no?
And aside from that WOO! about the site being back up.
Ashley babbled @ 1:19 PM
Sorry I wasn't around yesterday guys - this not sleeping stuff has to stop. Anyway, ionhosting is the company that I use for Sarkgasm and that the Fectas use for Trifectaly. It's a good host, I've had very little downtime, and the downtime I've had was short and painless (unlike vt.com). I will be switching servers in the coming month (same hosting, new server), so if y'all want to wait until after that so I can tell you if the new server is as good as the current one it might be smart... plus it'll give us time to get the funds to Gracie before she charges anything. Another great thing about ion is that you can pay quarterly instead of paying for the full year at once - although it'd definitely be cheaper to pay for the year and get it done with.
And what did y'all think about last nights episodes? I'm of two minds about it, because I actually really enjoyed it on some levels, and on other I was like WTF? I mean, to me, it is incomprehensible that Rory would make the Harvard cut and not Paris. I don't get that - at all. And Paris, while I can believe she would be devastated, has WAY too much pride to go down like that. So I loved all the extra Paris and HATED the disrespect I thought they showed the character.
And I liked Max. Which is really odd.
Anonymous babbled @ 1:00 PM
Woohoo! I just checked, and the "Gone, but not forgotten" page I had put up is once again visible! Now that the site is apparently functional again, I will try and start re-uploading again.

Laine, I've come up with somewhat of a solution for you, but since I've only ever converted actual money I'm not sure. Could you (or maybe a parent) go to a bank, or sometimes drugstores and such do it, and get a money order for $5.00 american, and pay in Canadian? You'd probably have to check on that, but I think that might be the easiest way to go. Other than that You'll have to ask Gracie.
Ashley babbled @ 11:08 PM
I just received this PM from Buttonhead (Meg):
Just got off the phone with the guy. He said something went wrong with the transfer (even though the transfer was already finished) and he had to redo it or something. It will take 24-48 hours for the site to be visible. If it's not, I'll be calling them back.
So, here's hoping to the site being up soon. I still think we should consider the option of our own domain, however.
Anonymous babbled @ 7:18 PM
Thanks Ash. I've been playing around, but I may take you up on that one day.
Question about the domain thing. How would it work for us non-Americans? Could we send you, like, $7.50 Canadian (or whatever, depending on the exchange rate) or would we have to find some American money?
Anonymous babbled @ 5:01 PM
Heh. Very funny Gracie, and just think...there's going to be four books of it. When would we need the cash? I'm not getting anywhere near a "good" paycheck for a few weeks. But I could swing it. I believe.
Anonymous babbled @ 3:43 PM
Wow, that would sound really good if I had any idea what it meant. Trixie? We need you, babe. 100MB seems sufficient, though. Most of the stories don't come anywhere near 1MB...some are only a couple KB. And then there's When She Cries... Just teasing, Chris.
Anonymous babbled @ 3:35 PM
6GB of Bandwidth, 100MB of space.. I think.
Also, 30 e-mail accounts, 1 Subdomain and 2 Parked Domains..... I think.
Trixie needs to come on and explain some of this to me lol.
Ashley babbled @ 3:31 PM
$5 definitely wouldn't be a problem for me, since I just spent $12 today to become an EZBoard Supporter. (Curse you, Liason! Hee.) I also would be willing, if necessary, to put the site expenses on my credit card. That way y'all could just pay me, and those of you without credit cards wouldn't have to worry. Just a thought.
Just out of curiosity, what kind of bandwith and storage space would we be looking at for that kind of money?
Anonymous babbled @ 3:29 PM
Oooooh, can I just say how awesome this blog thing is? Just wanted to pop in and say hey to everyone:)
Anonymous babbled @ 3:15 PM
I feel kind of guilty too. It's like I submitted Coffeepot to a bunch of awards sites and then Vicious Trollop went down. Hopefully we'll come up with a solution soon. As you all probably guessed I'm good with the idea of getting our own space and domain name. Infact, I'm going to go scope out a price and see how much it might cost. That way we'll have an estimate for you to look at.
Okay I went and looked. At ionhosting.com the one I thought would suit us is $4.95 a month. That's $59.40 a year. I went and looked at a domain name at godaddy.com(it's available yay) and it's $8.95 a year. So total expenses $68.35 a year. There's 14 of us, so divide.. and that's $4.88. No way. Okay so cool, so if everyone put in like $5, we could totally do it! I think that's kind of neat.
Ashley babbled @ 3:08 PM
Christmas is exactly 10 months from today. Doesn't that make it sound a whole lot sooner?
Lovely job adding the graphic, Ash. Does anyone else feel slightly guilty that we got an award for best GG Fic Archive, but the archive hasn't actually been up since we got the award? Maybe it's just me. That whole Catholic-guilt-complex thing never really goes away...
Anonymous babbled @ 2:46 PM
Laine, You aren't stupid. I can help you with one sometime if you want. I definately reccomend here since they're really really easy.
Grace, You read my mind. I love you, but you're starting to know me all too well.
Everyone, I'm about to do some editing, so if things look odd, just give me some time and they should be back to normal in no time.
Ashley babbled @ 12:45 PM
Nifty. And pretty.
I must admit, I'm sort of Blog-impaired. I tried setting one up once upon a time but apparently I didn't follow directions properly and/or am stupid.
Anonymous babbled @ 11:00 AM
I do have the award, Ash. Would you like me to e-mail it to you so that we can put it up here?
Anonymous babbled @ 10:44 AM
Good morning everyone. Hello Nate.
As I said last night, I had a thought, and I tried to check it out, but discovered I couldn't. So I had to come here to ask Gracie... So, Gracie, do you have the award P&P won?
Ashley babbled @ 10:30 AM
Good to see that so many of the e-board members have signed up and are posting! I checked my PMs again this morning...still no word from Buttonhead (Meg). I promise that once I have new information, y'all will be the first to know.
Since this problem has ended up taking quite a bit of time to resolve (and we haven't even resolved it yet), Ash had made a suggestion to me that I think I will toss out here for discussion: How would everyone feel about trying to get our own domain name? (Or something...I'm not great with all this web lingo.) I think it would be really cool to have www.proudandprejudiced.com or something like that, but I also know that it wouldn't be free. Would everyone be willing to kick in a few dollars to make this happen, or is it completely out of the realm of possibility.
I'd like to get everyone's honest thoughts and opinions. Please keep in mind, there is absolutely no pressure to do this. It is simply an idea that was mentioned. If it's not feasible, then it's not feasible. No big deal.
Anonymous babbled @ 9:37 AM
Ahh, my first blog post off all time. No, I'm not kidding about that, although I've been considering starting one.
Have to say I really do love this idea though. Whoo!

Thank my shower Trix, since that's where I had the idea. I'll have to read the fic Roxy posted tomorrow since I have much to do.
Anyways, I'm glad everyone likes it. If you have any ideas for anything just let me know... speaking of ideas... I just had one. Let me meditate on it a little and I'll let you all know.
Ashley babbled @ 11:15 PM
Gorgeous job, guys! Spiffy layout and a fabulous idea! I miss you all now that I've stopped haunting FF, so it's great to have this group blog! Such a blast!
And Rox, a new chapter of "Ten Years" is totally on the way. For real this time...
Anonymous babbled @ 10:52 PM
Nifty. I love the blog.
Anonymous babbled @ 9:05 PM
Finally feel a little better, so I can do more than Tag and run. I love the idea, I love the blog, I love the quote ;)
Wee.
~Chris.
Anonymous babbled @ 8:50 PM
Hi Roxy, Hi Jess. I had to edit your graphic a little because otherwise it would have cut Rory off at the mouth but it was so pretty.... and it works well. As you can guess I kind of took the colors for the layout from it. You're also welcome for the blog linkage. If any other members have a blog and it's not up just let me know. My e-mail's under the Team area.
Ashley babbled @ 8:31 PM
Ooh! My P&P graphic is up at the top! How exciting. Cough. Sorry. I'm a little bit high on sugar right now, so everything I'm saying is muggled up. I'm really not always this hyper, or babbly, or crazy. Maybe. But yes, Ash, this is a great idea. The design is nice and simple too. And like everyone else, I'm hoping the server issues will be resolved sometime soon. And with that, I'm out. But hee, thanks for linking my blog Ash. That was nice of you. :)
Anonymous babbled @ 8:13 PM
You're welcome Grace! I'm anxious to see everyone here posting. I'm also sad about the site.
Ashley babbled @ 7:55 PM
First off, a big thank-you to Ash, who had the fabulous idea to create this blog, and then took the initiative to get it up and running. As regular visitors to the site have noticed, P&P has been experiencing some technical difficulties of late. The first roadblock we encountered was when our host decided to upgrade her account. In the process, sadly, our files were not transferred, and we cannot access the old account. We are in the process of recreating all lost files.
Sadly, after putting up a "Coming back soon" notification at the site, it again went down. This time, we have no idea why, but our host is working to fix it.
In the meantime, we have created this blog as a way to communicate with people wondering what our status is. New developments will be posted here.
